Udine, charged for 18 'pirates' who were selling on eBay
download music, movies, games and software from the major file-sharing platforms and then sell the illegal material around the world taking advantage of the window of eBay (the online auction site is of course unrelated to the facts): as eighteen people ended up in the viewfinder of the Guardia di Finanza di Udine on charges of violating the laws protecting copyright and punish piracy of intellectual property. The searches carried out by Yellow flames at the homes of those under investigation, but also in Friuli Venezia Giulia Veneto and Sicily, have led to the seizure of computers, CD burners, printers, xerographic and about 600 000 files containing musical works, film and television, videogames, graphics programs and more. A load of the eighteen subjects now hangs criminal charges and administrative penalties for a total of tens of millions of euro.
