milan change - residential building milanofiori
Yesterday we went to see the new district of north milanofiori (Brioschi real estate development - Erick van Egeraat Master Plan Study), particularly the residences of the study OBR Genoa.
We really liked the clean design of the volumes and spaces but also the design philosophy behind the intervention: the search for a close relationship with nature to a higher quality of living. The green of the inner park is proposed within the discretion of individual houses with gardens with terraces and greenhouses in winter in each housing unit. These greenhouses, enclosed by tempered glass sliding doors, are used to facilitate a controlled and comfortable microclimate. In the winter months, thanks glasses, can capture the heat and preheat environments. In the summer, opening the glass exterior, the floor above creates shade restricting the entry of heat.
The heating and cooling, ceiling, are joined to a system of controlled mechanical ventilation to exhaust air.
Not bad at all!

Designed by GK ARCHITECTS - LOFT IN TURIN
The apartment is housed in a former warehouse. Organized at various levels, provides for the sleeping area upstairs and the kitchen and the living area, ground floor, are characterized by a double height space that has as background a large piece of graffiti to remember the location of underground intervention.
Particular attention was given to natural light, coming only from the south east, is made to filter out - through the glass floor of the room and the loft of the kitchen grill - to the most low.
The loft Although divided into different levels, thus becomes a unified space characterized by the presence of glass surfaces arranged so as not to limit the privacy to different environments.
